Changing the author of the post

This is a very basic feature in WordPress, so let's only take a minute to discuss it. Basically, every post and page in WordPress has an author, which is quite obvious in itself. However, if you want to, you can change the assigned author of any given entry. In order to do it, just go to the post editing screen or the page editing screen, and scroll down until you see the Author box. If it's not visible, enable it from the pull-down Screen Options menu. Refer to the following screenshot:

The box contains just one drop-down menu that lists every user account on your site. Just select a new author, and click on the Update button. That's all. If you only have one user, the admin account, on your site, then the box will only contain one name.
