Ben Zhang,manager of Hangzhou Angel Software Co.,Ltd.,is talking with Neil Millers,the marketing manager from SCC Company.They want to enter into business partnership with each other.

Neil:Good morning,I'm Neil Millers from Italy.This is my business card.

Zhang:Nice to meet you,Miss Millers.I am Ben Zhang,manager of Hangzhou Angel Software Co.,Ltd.

(Shaking hands and exchanging their bussiness cards.)

Neil:I was very impressed by your products displayed at the Canton Fair.And we now avail ourselves of this opportunity to visit you with a view to establishing partnership with you.

Zhang:Thanks.The samples displayed at the fair are just part of our products.We have been in the line of Big Data since 2010,and we enjoy a good reputation in the world market.

Neil:By the way,what does Big Data mean?

Zhang:Big Data is the term for a collection of data sets so large and complex that it is difficult to process them by using on-hand database management tools or traditional data processing applications.

Neil:How can we solve this problem?

Zhang:Big Data is usually transformed in three dimensions:volume,velocity,and variety.

Volume:Machine-generated data,which is produced in larger quantities than traditional data did.

Velocity:This refers to the speed of data processing.

Variety:This refers to a large variety of input data which in turn generates a large amount of data as output.

Neil:Can we capture and manage a lot of information at the same time?

Zhang:Of course.We can work with many new types of data,even bigger than TeraBytes,structured or unstructured.Meanwhile,we can exploit these masses of information and new data types with new styles of applications.

Neil:That sounds fantastic.
